Pictures from Moscow, ID

I was sent some pictures from Moscow, ID the other day.  (No, not Russia!)  They are pictures of a project completed by a women’s group who got together to make these sweet little animals for a nearby children’s hospital.
Awwww, what a fabulous group of talented women.  With a great eye for color!
They used this tutorial and my heart couldn’t feel happier.  These women used my simple idea but took it much further and created  a whole collection of darling elephants and giraffe’s to share with sweet little children who are sick or mending in the hospital.  I love their purpose…..and love all of those happy colors.  And I can’t help but think of the smile they will bring to many small children.
Just look at the whole pile of them…..waiting to cheer up a new friend.
They even made them multi-colored by using different colors on both sides.  So perfect.
Anyway, just wanted to share what others are making.
And thanks to you women who got together to use your sewing skills for the little ones in your area.

I’m sure you will be putting many smiles on those sweet faces.

(And thanks……..makes me want to find a children’s hospital around here in GA.)

This was my ward and I was at this activity! Thank you so very much for letting us use your pattern. I'm certain these little animals will go to a well deserving home. :)

I LOVED reading your post today – I live in Moscow and am about to leave after a great 10 years…it really is a special place and I know we will miss it.

And that was such a neat idea for those women to do – the animals turned out super cute.

I don't think I realized you were from GA too! Can I ask where and you just respond in email? :) I know how many weirdos there are….

Anyway, what a great bunch of ladies! That is just awesome. Here's there is Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Scottish Rite but you could probably contact your regional hospital. They'll have a NICU ward too. I'm sure any gifts for babies would be much appreciated.

That is amazing! My daughter (now 5) was in NICU and received many wonderful gifts while she was there. It really makes us mommy's feel special that our little ones are loved so much by strangers. What kind hearts they have. I am tearing up. Thanks for sharing Ashley.

P.S. I still have the blankets, hats and and toys she received. As well as many sweet notes from them. We even keep in contact with some of the staff. It was truly a great time in our life. Thanks again for helping me remember them!
