First of all, you know I’m a sucker for a great deal. And it seems I’ve been sharing several lately. (But, your bank account loves me, right? Mine does… ;) ) Anyway, Pick Your Plum is selling 6 different items today. SIX!!! However, that’s not even the cool part. If you use the code ILIKETAFFY at checkout, you’ll get an extra 20% off of everything. And we all know, 20% off of something that’s already like 60-70% off (which is usually their markdown)……makes it just about free. Okay, get out of here and get a few “almost free” items this morning. (Because once they’re gone…..they’re gone, over there.) And then come back here and finish my post if you want! ;) Okay…..hop to!! And GO HERE.

Onto something else.
I’ve been working on updating all the recipes here on Make It and Love It. I am FINALLY adjusting all of the recipes to be printer friendly. That way, you don’t have to scroll through to find the ingredients and steps you need, and then try and print. Also, you don’t have to waste ink on all the pictures if you don’t want them.
For example, say you want to make these delicious chewy Sea Salt Caramels. (oh man, now I want some!)
Just scroll down to the bottom of the post, find the shaded grey box, and click on the “print this” button……
It will bring you to a new screen and your printer-friendly version will pop up, like a little recipe card. All you do now…….is print. Easy. :)
****Now, they’re not all updated yet. But I’d say more than half have been…..starting with the most recent, going back. And from now on, I’ll always include a printer-friendly version. Hope that helps!

One last thing.
I received a little surprise in the mail. The sweet folks over at Sew News magazine added in a little note about my blog in their magazine for this month. (I kinda forgot about it until someone mentioned on Facebook that they saw it…..so I hopped on over to Joann’s and there she sat, sitting with the other magazines. How funny. A day later, my copy from Sew News arrived in the mail.)
When I flipped to the correct page, my face turned into a big ol’ grin when I saw my little Chloe standing there. I didn’t know what image they’d be using……but my chubby-cheeked penguin really made me smile. And Steve (my husband) made sure to let me know that he makes the best arm and forearm model this country has ever seen! His modesty is charming! ;)
But I also blushed a little as I read the title, because I’m not really the best of the blogs…..but that was really nice of them to say. I sure do have fun with this little ol’ blog though, so I’m always thrilled to think that others enjoy it with me.
Anyway, thanks Sew News……..what a serious delight to read mention of my blog in your magazine. And thanks for boosting my husband’s self esteem! ;)
. . . . .
And, I have a project that I’m finishing up today. I better not jinx myself and give you a time line……but I’m sure it will be up later today. But if it’s not, just know I popped my other tire or something. Ha! (No really, it’s not super involved so probably during nap-time I’ll put it up.)
Enjoy your morning!
