.

Receiving emails and comments explaining that more and more of you are going out and buying sewing machines. (Or even scissors and Mod Podge.)

Love that.

Just keep on creating. It’s such a good thing.

Everybody should have a sewing machine! Just don't buy a super cheap one, they're more trouble than they're worth. For those of you who like Viking brand sewing machines and sergers, they're discontinuing their current Huskylock serger series to make way for the newer and better. Hustle on over to your Husqvarna Viking sewing gallery and score a great machine at a close out price. I'm not saying they're cheap, just less expensive than they were. I got the 936 model (the best) for about $1000 when the original price was $1800. Worth it? I think so!

I've had a sewing machine for 4 years and have only pulled it out to sew a straight line here or there. I have always had the desire to create fun things for my kids but was totally intimidated. You have helped me see that a sewing project doesn't have to be complicated. I love your simple and fun ideas. Thanks for inspiring me.

My husband bought me a new machine for Christmas 2008 .. I've been finding all kinds of blogs lately that inspire me to learn more and more !

I have an etsy store nowdays and LOVE to sew !

I want an embrodiery machine but have learned to applique until the day I can afford the machine :)

my daughters teacher said "I just love all these little things you make that she comes to school wearing."

If it weren't for make it and love it my stack of hand me downs wouldn't be sitting in a pile next to my sewing machine… and I wouldn't grab free shirts that say 'vodka' across the front. But with you I know I can make something out of it all!

    Your blog rocks!

Question…I'm new to the sewing thing, and my sewing machine has some really dark oil/liquid stuff coming out. Is that normal? I don't want it on my fabric…so I'm thinking it needs fixed. Any ideas?! Thanks!
