Ahhh…spring is my absolute favorite time of year! The sun is staying out a little longer, trees are starting to bloom, new grass is pushing its way through, and I start getting an itch to add more color to everything! Easter is also right around the corner and thank goodness it is, because my kids have been asking since Christmas ended, when the Easter bunny was coming! ;)
But all this nice weather has gotten me into a sewing mood…..but not just any sewing, Easter sewing!
Today I’m over at BERNINA’s, We All Sew, sharing these really simple Drawstring Bunny Bags that are really quick to sew up…and are perfect for this time of year!
And once I finished the first one, I had one of those, “oh my goodness, these turned out even cuter than expected…MUST-MAKE-MORE” moments! Ha. So, just like bunnies do best — they multiplied into THREE! ;)
I have mentioned here before that we have 3 pet bunnies at our house and Elli and Chloe and even Connor (ages 9, 7, and 5) ALL adore them…so everything in their lives revolve around their favorite fluffy pets right now! So these bags are kinda perfect for them!
But how fun would these be tucked away into your kiddos’ Easter baskets this year! :) Easy as that, they open up to reveal what’s inside…..and then they cinch up nice and snug to keep those contents hidden away!
But they aren’t just simple little treat bags. These cute little bunnies can be used year-round for all sorts of things, including a money pouch for Chloe, who just received a stack of $1 bills for her birthday! :)
Once you cinch the bag closed, those little bunny ears perk right up!
Oh, and Elli was just telling me that her necklaces aren’t all fitting into her jewelry box anymore, so she now has an extra place to keep them safe!
But I was also thinking they would be such a cute gift for a friend, stuffed with nail polish, a gift card, or even some sewing notions! Because everything is cuter stuffed in a little Bunny Bag, right?! ;)

Hope you enjoy!
