It’s a doozy

Potty training, that is.

It takes a lot of time and energy. Whew. So that’s what my day (and weekend) consist of.

Okay, and secretly, I’m working on a pattern that I hope to get up in the next couple of days.

pinkstilettos, I am working on a pattern for that. it's actually a dress and was WONDERFUL to have while potty training. Nice and simple and comfy.

It may be a few weeks before I get it up. And gosh, I can't remember where I got that fabric. I'm thinking it was Amy Butler……I'll have to see if the name is on some of my scraps.

  2. pinkstilettos says:

Hi. I really like that shirt that your little girl is wearing. I was wondering if you offered that pattern for sale? I would love to make one for my little girl as well! Also, where could I get that fabric? It's so cute!

  3. aileen says:

What a great pic! Your daughter is adorable. I too want the pattern/instructions (or you could just make it for me – hee, hee) for the dress your munchkin is wearing – LOVE IT AND LOVE YOUR BLOG! I've had so much fun trying out some of the projects. Thanx so much for your time putting all these modern & fun ideas on here!

  6. amanda says:

I am so in love with the dress your daughter is wearing! I hope you can give the details on it. Is it a pattern you purchased or something you made up? Thanks! Love your blog!

  7. Kim says:

  9. Woman Undone says:

You guys gotta find a photographer in Florida!! I don't know anybody in Idaho, although her beautiful work makes me wanna hop a plane JUST to get my picture taken.
Hang in there with the potty training…it's easier with girls!!

  10. Rebekah says:

We're doing it, too, and you're right. It is A LOT of work. My daughter is doing great (our secret: chocolate chips) but it keeps us on our toes! Good luck!

  11. Karin says:

Ah, potty training. Right in the middle of that too. It indeed takes up a lot of your time, doesn't it? Goodluck with the proces! :-)

By the way, that is one pretty dress your girl is wearing!

  12. Eileen Short says:

Also love the dress your daughter's wearing! Where can I get the pattern?

  13. Jon and Kari-Lynn Tarleton says:

  15. Pink & Green Mama says:

Super cute dress and we're working on the potty training thing here as well. I'm thinking how neglected my sweet daughter is because I don't have cute homemade dresses for her to wear while we do it!! : )

  16. Rose says:

By the way I forgot to ask, is there a pattern or tutorial for the dress your daughter is wearing? Looks cute and like it might be simple. You may have already blogged about it but my memory sucks as of late. Thanks!

  17. Casey says:

potty training sure is fun huh? we're doing it here now too, it's getting better, she's taking to it quite fast. good luck with you!

I can't wait to see the new pattern!

  18. Melanie says:

My daughter, in underwear because we are potty-training, just fell asleep on the couch. I just put a towel under her and am praying for the best :)

I love that fabric. All of it. Isn't it fun making clothes for little people??

  19. Candice says:

So do you have any Potty training tips, I am starting with my girl and it's kind of stressing me out! Love that dress though.

  20. Lindsey says:

I feel your pain on the potty training! My daughter is doing great but it takes a lot of work! I can't wait for the new pattern :)

  21. Sacrifices of Joy says:

I think i just bought the pattern that your DD is wearing in the picture (from McCall's??!!). We r potty traing too – going on 6 months and it is tiring! Hope yours goes better than mine – looking forward to th new pattern!

  22. The Rodgers says:

Yes, I agree that the dress your little girl is wearing in the photo is soo cute! Did you make this? Love your blog :)

  23. Marcie says:

thanks for the motivation chat yesterday. so I have a new request. I now need some ideas of things to make/give my TWO soon to be sister in-laws. Any fun "newly married" crafts up your sleeve?

  24. Strand Family says:

I love the dress that she is wearing in the picture. Is this a pillowcase dress? That's the kind I want for Penelope's first birthday. (Is it crazy that I've been thinking about her first birthday party dress for months?)

  25. TroxelTribe says:

The dress that your daughter is wearing in the picture is A-DOR-A-BLE! Good luck with potty training :) It's so nice to have them out of diapers!

  26. Jennifer says:

Hmmm… Good idea with the dress. I bet I could make one without a problem now that I have your skirt pattern. I'm being a slacker on putting the hem in, but I did make a skirt using your pattern. I've decided to hem it to my knees.

Yippee, for potty training. Kaitlyn was ready in December and January, but I held off putting her in panties because she was about to have surgery. Only recently has she become interested again. I'm crossing my fingers.

  27. Rose says:

By the looks of the preview I may just be the first person to buy this pattern as well! I bought all the material for the skirt, just have to make it now :)

  28. Kelsee says:

I am in the exact same boat as you in the Potty Training Department! I feel like I have been living in the bathroom for the past few weeks. Good luck and I can't wait to see the pattern! -Kelsee

  29. JJohnson says:

I'm new to your blog and I LOVE IT!! I am so excited and can hardly wait to get going on all your great ideas!

  30. Chris and Sarah says:
