Surprise…….a whole new look!!!

*****UPDATE*******

If you’re having issues seeing my new design (it should be more of an aqua blue color, no longer green), then it’s probably a cache-ing issue with your computer.

The cache (pronounced “cash”) is a space in your computer’s hard drive and in RAM memory where your browser saves copies of previously visited Web pages. Your browser uses the cache like a short term memory. Instead of downloading an image from a recently viewed website, it will load the image from your cache folder, thereby making the browsing process a little quicker. When the cache files become out of date or are taking up too much room, you can delete them……and will be able to see updates on web pages, like mine. :)

Some computers have different caching settings and that’s why some people were able to see the new design right away, while others were not. To resolve this, you’ll need to clear your computer cache. If you’re unsure how to do this, try googling it.  There are so many browsers and versions of each browser and then PC, MACS, etc……so it would be impossible for me to list them all here.  So, try googling, “clear cache for Internet Explorer” or “clear cache for Internet Explorer on a MAC” or whatever describes what you’re using. Hope that helps!

Let me know if you have any other issues!

. . . . .

Did you think you came to the wrong place today?  I know……..I’m not used to it yet either. ;)

Over the weekend, my blog had a little facelift.  My last green look was a little tricky on some computer monitors.  It looked happy and cheerful and apple green for some (which is how it looked for me!), it was a little more intense of a highlighter green for others, and then for some of you…….it made your eyes bleed! Sorry about that. :)  Green is a hard color for web designing, I hear.  Ooops.

This little makeover has been months and months (and months) in the works.  And that’s only because of my indecisiveness. But I’m so happy it’s over. And so glad to spare some of you a green-overload headache! ;)

Anyway, most everything is the same around here.  The navigation is the same, the tabs are the same, the search bar is the same, etc.  But I have added a few things here or there……just let me show you.

Up in the upper right hand corner, there are a bunch of yellow circles with all of the fun social media links in them. See them??  – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – -^

The 1st and 3rd, Facebook and Twitter, have been around a while.  And that little Pinterest one, well that account has been open and I have linked to it here and there……but I finally have a button for it, to help us BOTH get to it a little easier! :)  And oh gee, I have finally started up an Instagram account.  What in the world has taken me so long?!  I know, I know, I’m always about 75 steps behind with all of this new fangled stuff.  But I think it’ll mostly be fun for me to have a place to put all those random photos that hang out on my phone.  So, more of the personal side of my life.  And maybe I’ll show you more photos of how messy my crafting space really is! ;)

But the flickr, feedburner, and email subscription are still there.  No worries.

And because the green had to be deleted from everywhere I placed it, Facebook also had a little mini facelift:

And so did Twitter:

Oh, and have any of you noticed that the drop-down “Tutorials” button at the top wasn’t allowing you to click on it for a few months??  Well…..it’s fixed now.  You can select a category from the drop-down box now (if you hover over it with your mouse) and it will take you right to that category.  Whew!

And well, I think that’s about it.

Emily, from Junelily Web Design, completely overhauled things for me again…..bless her heart!  I can’t say enough good things about her.  She is about 20 steps beyond patient and if I wasn’t perfectly happy about something, she insisted we go back and make it absolutely perfect.  I’m so happy she took me on again, for round 2!

**If you’re reading this in your email or in your feed, you probably have no clue what I’m talking about.  Go here to see the new look!

. . . . .

Anyway, I realized that I had never even hinted towards this facelift…….so I didn’t want anyone to think that Make It and Love It was highjacked by some heart-&-blue-stripey-lovin’ invader.  Nope, it’s just me.  Toned down a bit! ;)

I’ll be back tomorrow.  With something fun for the kiddos! And oh wait, maybe for you too! :)
