Making the “Little Guy Tie” (baby and toddler tie pattern)…..for MAX!!!

Baby Max is our 3rd boy (and 5th child) and yes, he has plenty of hand-me-downs!  But sometimes, I like to give this little guy new things of his very own!  And since Easter is only a few days away…..I had the itch to make him a few new neck ties for church (or any other fancier occasion).  And even though neckties and bowties are plentiful in the stores right now (because of Easter), I save so much cash by just making my own!

Some of you may remember the Little Guy Tie” pattern that I created YEARS ago, when Connor was a baby (about 9 years ago)…..and yes, I still use the same one, all these years later.  It’s easy to put together, turns out cute every time, and I can make so many different colors and patterns!!!  SO yep, I just printed off the PDF earlier today, cut it out, and in less than an hour—a new Easter/Spring tie for MAX!

And because Max kept showing off, I took about a trillion pictures of this cute boy!  (Sorry in advance.)  But holy smokes, I could eat him right up! Haha.

About 3 years ago, I posted pictures of Oliver wearing the same tie pattern….at around the same toddler age.  I still can’t believe how fast they grow! But good grief you guys…..those deep blue eyes slay me!

And just like I remember gushing over how cute Connor and Oliver looked in their little ties…..I about died when I first put this Easter outfit on Max and sat him down on the front porch to take a few pictures. There’s something about a baby boy in a tie.  I can’t even handle it… :)

The tie is made from standard woven cotton material, so it’s easy to spot clean.  And the “knot” always keeps its shape….so no need to re-tie it each time.  The neck strap is velcro, so it’s easy on/off…..but still stays in place so they can’t yank it off.  (Believe me, we’ve had many years of testing this out!)

Ack…..this happy boy keeps us all smiling!  There’s definitely something about the youngest kid….they’re definitely a show off!  And Max has already figured that out!  He squawks and squeals, always trying to get everyone’s attention.  And let me tell you—it works! ;)

Anyway, if you’re a last-minute gal (like me…ack!) and are still trying to put Easter outfits together, you can always grab one of the Little Guy Tie patterns HERE (which is an instant PDF file download) and whip up a few.  It’s available in sizes 0-6 months….up to about a 3T.  (But Oliver wears a 4T and still fits in the largest size!)

Or, if you’ve already got Easter outfits all planned out…..your little boy(s) need(s) fresh new ties all year long!  (And these make the best baby gifts too!  Match it to a little button-up shirt and pants….the momma-to-be will gush right along with you!)

Anyway, I just had to share (a few too many pics, I know)……but I hope that helps some of you!

Hope your week is going well!
