Happy Valentine’s Day…..Smooooooch!! :)

It’s Valentine’s Day today…….hope you’ve been kissed, hugged, and showered with little Valentine’s!

And if you haven’t, here’s one for you:

These little nuggets woke up so excited.  (Except Chloe, she had no clue!)  They were all ready to pass out their little Valentine’s that they had carefully constructed and written their crooked little names on.  Oooooh, so exciting!

And my favorite Valentine’s Day flower of choice?  Tulips.  I love everything about them.  (Except that you can’t buy them all year long.

And did you recognize Chloe’s shirt?  Yep, last year it was a shaggy heart dress……..this year, a shirt!  She has worn that little shirt all year long.  It’s the re-purposed top that just never dies! :)

I hope you have the best day.  Even without a significant other to spoil you.

It’s all about the little kisses and friendly smiles anyway!  Go on and make someone else’s day really fantastic!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

(and Elli, Connor, and Chloe!!)

My new favorite no sew but amazing creation is from tearing my husbands old long sleeve shirts in strip that are short and long, wide and thin. I am running out of shirts but his shirts are thick and high quality fabric. I took apart a wire floral ring so I could have 6 different rings. I start attatching the strips and I love the messy strings hanging off. I try to use two colors and it seems that white is usually on of the colors. I tie each strip and make sure that the ring is covered and that there is some consistancy with the long and short so one side isn’t lopsided. It can be a chandelier, it can be a decoration since I have gotten tired of all the paper mobiles that don’t last forever. My favorite one is attached. I put a push button, battery operated light by tying some fabric across the center of the ring and it already had velcro attachments with the light, so I just put the fabric strip in the middle. It is darling without the light but in the dark with the light on it is amazing. Working on the next one that is ribbons, more fabric scraps, yarn, twine and anything else I have laying around. I tried to attach a photo but it didn’t allow me. If you want to see it email me and I will send you a photo! Hope I win!

I don’t know if this will be good info for you but you CAN buy tulips all year round!
I live in the Skagit Valley which is home of the biggest tulip festival outside of Holland! We are also one of the biggest growers of tulips, daffodils & iris bulbs. The valley here is beautiful in April when we have fields & fields of tulips in bloom!
