Thank You…..

I can’t even tell you all thank you enough. I wasn’t expecting so much great advice about my little girl’s night terrors/nightmares. I just kind of threw that out there…..and then wow! Tons of tips and ideas and “hang in there’s”. I read each one and now have a whole collection of ideas to try.

You’re all beautiful. Thank you.

  1. The Duncans says:

I have been reading a book by john rosemond called the well behaved child (not that she was misbehaving). There is some good information in there if you are up for some reading. If you read it take it lightly, he is very blunt. There is a chapter about dealing with children s most common misbehavior's (again not that she was misbehaving)and that is where you will find some solutions to sleep problems. I am a softie, I don't know if I could do what he suggests. So if you get to the end of your rope maybe consider reading it. Anyway thought I would suggest it.

There is a lovely book called The Sleep Talk Solution. I have used it for years with my 3 girls and suggest it to my Parent Groups. Also often before a growth spurt children have a shifting in awareness/consciousness and it surfaces in their dreams. Another idea is to radically calm the bedroom.
Good luck and hopefully sweet dreams.

  3. Ashley says:

Teach them they are in charge. They can use a 'remote' to change a dream if they don't like it. Just change the channel. If it's truly a night terror and they don't converse with you it can be a key phrase, to help them subconsciously.
