I realized I never listed an end date for the Costume Voting Poll the other day. But, today’s the day….and the poll is closed! (Well, it’s not technically closed…so if you try voting, it will still add votes.)
Here’s a screen shot of the final results from this morning…
THE TOP TWO WINNERS:
But, Minions came in a close 3rd…..and several of those other ideas might possibly make an appearance on the ole blog too! But for sure, I’ll share those top 2 winners!!!
Yesterday, I shared on Instagram that I was at the fabric store, already gathering fabric…..because I just couldn’t wait to get started. I have way too many ideas doing jumping jacks up in my head…..and not enough hours in the day. But I’m still excited to make a few things, even ideas that aren’t on the list above!
See you soon! Can’t wait to get started! :)

Would still really love to see the Inside Out characters! :)
So excited to see your Halloween Costume Tutorials. I think I’ll have to make my little Ella an Alice in Wonderland Dress, I think it would be so darling! Maybe I’ll make a tutorial too. You are so inspiring! FYI Your Contact page says ‘Fatal Error’ if you click on it. Just thought you might want to know.
Also I wanted to pick your brain, I know you made some skeleton costume awards last year that were so fun. I am trying to think of an award for Chili, Cornbread, Dessert contest we will be having at our trunk or treat. Any Ideas?? Trying to think of something funny!

Oh no… I better not show this to my 6 and 7 year old sons!! I’ll be making TWO How To Train Your Dragon costumes!! :) Ha ha ha. I can’t WAIT to see wha you come up with!!
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaah Vikings!
I’m so crazily excited!
(and yeah, I’m 23 and I WILL make myself a viking costume!)
Thank you soooo much for all the goodies you show/give us!
Benny is pretty much going to demand a How to Train your Dragon costume, once he sees yours. I am so happy that won!
I can’t wait to see the finished results!!
Last year I had the honor of making my grandson a Hiccup customer. It was the young Hiccup. He loved it.
I just recently made a pair of “eagle leg” PJ pants and knew as soon as the poll results were released, I knew that if you were to create an eagle costume, you could include the pants.
Here’s what I did:
1) Sew PJ pants from brown flannel
2) Cut “feathers” from same flannel
3) Sew “feathers” around bottom hems
The bottoms of the pants aren’t supposed to drag on the floor so use a pair of pants that are starting to get a bit short and use those as a length guide. The style is supposed to be baggy since the feathered legs on an eagle look like baggy pznts.
Hip hip hooray! I can’t wait for the costumes to start coming!!
I NEED that fur!! Do you remember the name of the fabric?
You can get that fur at Hobby Lobby or Hancock fabrics. I have never seen it at JoAnn’s!
Thank you. I have to find most of my fabric online because I live a long way from the closest fabric store. It’d be worth the trip for that though!
Oh, whoops, I just saw that Liz answered this too. Good luck Gina! (Just be sure to bring your 40% off coupon because it’s a little pricey)
Thank you, Ashley! I can’t wait to see what you do with it all! :)
I bought it at Hobby Lobby. I’m not sure what it’s actually called…..it’s Faux Fur of some kind. :)
